Before reviewing this article, please make sure you have Connected HubSpot Icebreaker and UpContent within the Integrations Menu in UpContent

Activating your UpContent Collection for Icebreaker access:

To use Icebreaker coincidingly with UpContent and HubSpot, we're going to first want to authorize the UpContent Collections that you want your team to have access to within Icebreaker. You can activate as many Collections as you wish for use within Icebreaker.

Once you navigate to your Collection:

  • Click your Collection name at the top of the screen

  • Click "Edit Collection"

  • Select "Power-ups" from the left-hand side of the pop-up

  • Scroll down to Icebreaker and turn the switch to "On"

  • Save your Collection

NOTE: If you see a "Connect" option rather than an on/off switch by the Icebreaker Power-up, please ensure your UpContent account has been connected to Icebreaker.

Now, when you navigate to a contact page in HubSpot, you will see Icebreaker by UpContent providing 3 articles from the combined set offered by your activated Collections.

Specify a Specific Collection for a HubSpot Contact or Company:

By default, Icebreaker will recommend the most compelling articles from your Icebreaker-activated collections for your contacts right within HubSpot.

However, if you would like to narrow the focus of the content for a specific company or contact record, you can do so by navigating to the contact you would like to narrow the content for then follow the next few steps:

  • On the left-hand side of the contact's page, click view all properties

  • Type in "collections" in the search bar

  • Select the Collection you would like to assign to that contact for Icebreakers

  • Click save

NOTE: You can also add this property to the contact page, should you want to specify a Collection for other contacts as well.
